~*~ Antique Silver Jade Letter Opener~*~ Wonderful letter opener beautifully made in silver and jade. Made circa 1850 and presented to H. E. Howes - international spiritualist who travelled the world spreading spiritualism when he visited Auckland New Zealand in the early 1900's. Given history of letter opener by H.E. Howes grandson. Excellent condition.Measures over seven and a half inches long - and one a a quarter inches across at widest. Silver is skillfully engraved and jade polished and shaped.
