This is an interesting lot of three antique levels, all three are wood with some metal plates, one has glass covered wells, the other two are open, all three still have all the fluid still in the glass chambers and all indicate a true level surface, so technically thet still work! These are dusty and dirty and need a good cleaning and restoration, I know I know I could get more for them if I clean them up a bit, but honestly most of my collector type customers really appreciate my dirty unmessed with stuff so its restored and cleaned the "proper" way. The one where I could read Davis on the metal ring around the glassed in readout it is the only one that has glass in the read-out wells, it is also 30 inches long and the widest of the three measuring 3.5 inches wide, the other 30 inch level is a redder wood stain, like cherry, this one has a number 5 embossed in the wood on one end and a 9 on the oppiste end, all i can read etched in the metal is "adjusting Screw" that is stamped in the metal around a screw on the longer metal plate, and what looks like "Stanley" and some other faded stuff. The last of the three only measures 28.25 inches tall, this one I can barely make out part of the brand but looks like Stanly, shows up better is just a tad bit on damp cloth rubbed over the words. Sure you collector types know what it is :) These read more
