ANTIQUE VINTAGE OLIVER NO. 5 PRINTTYPE ANTIQUE TYPEWRITER EXCELLENT CONDITION GREAT COLLECTIBLE TYPEWRITER!!!! OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 17"W X 14"D X 10.5"H This Oliver is ready to go on display for you! This O liver was made in 1909 it is in excellent condition. This typewriter sat in an office for over 100 yrs. back in the corner of some warehouse long forgotten. This is an O liver no. 5 a rare early model, it has survived the last century in very good shape there are a couple minor blemishes on it, other than that, this is an excellent example of an early N0. 5 O liver. This is a fine O liver and quite a rare model; early no 5’s were not produced in quantity. They are a cross between the no 3’s and later no 5’s with an enclosed case they have parts on them that are unique to this model. This O liver has a rare lead holder (instead of pencil holder on the vertical line bar). It has a few scratches in the paint from moving around the warehouse over the years. This machine will last another two centuries if properly maintained, O liver’s were built to last and they do, I use one everyday, it is very handy to have a manual typewriter they can do things that computer printers and inkjets cannot. Due to the historical significance of this machine and condition I would just put it on display and use it very gently it is not often you find one from this period in such nice condition. Ribbons are readily available for this model; so do not worry that you will not be able to buy replacements I always have some in stock if the winning bidder is interested in purchasing some extras.
