Set of 4 Antique Dark Brown Transferware Earthenware plates on Cream in the Brazil pattern. Victorian Aesthetic movement style, with Tropical Foliage, woven basket weave and some Butterflies. The company C W Turner & Sons Tunstall was in business from 1873 - 1895 in Stoke on Trent, England. Back stamp on 3 has a Shield with Brazil across and CW Turner & Sons Tunstall underneath. These are really nice.Size: 7 5/8". Weigh 2 1/2 lbs.Condition: Remarkably nice, with 2 having some fine clear glaze crazing, one of which has a tight 1 1/2" sealed line from rim. No utensil wear. Bright and shiny glaze. No chips.
