This is truly a really beautiful original watercolor painting done by artist Charles Hodges (signed in the lower right). It was passed down on the family and found together with the other watercolor we have listed that is unsigned. It's heavily noted and dated in the lower left "1837". It has a wonderful strong image, just beautifully done and very little fading for its age. We've collected so much art over the years, this is one we have had hanging in our main family room. The painted image size is small, approx. 6.5 inches X 9 inches on paper. Total size including original vintage frame is 13 inches X 11 inches.
