We strive to provide accurate descriptions on all of our items, because we ourselves have been in your shoes, we have been the buyer who won the excellent razor to only have it arrive in not so excellent condition. We can relate, and we never want to be guilty of placing you in a situation w you get an item that is not as good as we described it to be. When it comes to putting something on your face to shave with, we know how important the details are. Description For your consideration, your shaving needs, or to add an old pair of straight razors to your collection, I present you with this nice set of Wilford & Company Straight Razors made in Sheffield,England. this pair of razors is in good condition, and come in their original double coffin style box that is also in good condition. Since both of these razors have black celluloid scales, then I am certain that they have been rescaled. You will notice in the pics that one razor appears to be cleaner than the other as far as stains, oxidation, and light pitting; this is because one razor has apparently had all of those imperfections removed from it by some type of heavy abbrassive, which left the razor with a brushed finish. The other blade has been cleaned, so has no rust, but is left with some staining, oxidation, and some extrememly mild pitting. Both blades measure just under 7/8" in width, and both are wedge style blades with barber knotches in the tips of the blades. Both blades are nice and tight on the pivot with no slack, play, or wobble. The scales on the stained razor are in great condition with only normal surface scratches. The other razor's scales have a hairline crack that I almost missed, on one side, which extends from the wedge pin. The last photo is of that pin, but the crack is nearly impossible to see. The tang stamp is light on one razor, and bold on the other. They can be seen in the photos as well. Both razors are fairly sharp to the touch, but not shave ready by any means. Both could be used for shaving after they have been honed and brought to shave ready condition. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
