THIS AUCTION IS FOR AN ANTIQUE WOODEN DOVE-TAILED BOX. SHIPPING BOX FROM "J. S. IVINS' SON, STEAM BAKERY." BOX MEASURES 5.5 INCHES BY 4.5 INCHES BY 1.25 INCHES AND HAS A SLIDING TOP. HAS PAPER LABELS ON TOP AND BOTTOM. LABEL ON SLIDING TOP IS A SHIPPING LABEL THAT HAS NEVER BEEN ADRESSED. IT IS THE DIRTY SIDE OF THE BOX AND LABEL IS STAINED. BOTTOM OF BOX HAS THE NICER LABEL AND IS MARKED "J.S. IVINS' SON,STEAM BAKERY 321-323 N, FRONT ST. 320-322 N, WATER ST. PHILADELPHIA,PA." IT IS NEARLY PERFECT! ALL THE INFORMATION I COULD FIND ABOUT "STEAM BAKERY" DATES THIS BOX TO THE LATE 1800s. MAYBE YOU KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS THAN I DO. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED AT ALL!!
