This is awesome original world war I ammunition box. I got it from my grandfather's garage. It is made out of wood is put together with neat dovetail design. It has original working handle and metal hinges/latch. I am leaving cleaning of the item to the buyer. I tend to mess things up when I clean them. The item has Chest 49-1-84 printed on both ends. The wood is in pretty good shape considering the age (and that it went through the war). The paint has worn off on some parts. T are some parts of the wood that has some wear/chipping on it also. T is a chip out of the wood that measures about 1 1/2" x 1/2. It is in the lower right of the front with the opening latch. Not sure if you can see it on the picture. However, it would not affect the function of the box. It doesn't go all the way through the wood. If you are at all interested, please e-mail me and I will send you more pictures. I give $2 discount on shipping for additional multiple wins on my auctions. God Bless!
