Almost every Mid-Century home had an apothecary candy jar. These footed jars were often found on the mantle or coffee table. Some held hard candy while others like my Mom's was filled with tiny seashells. They were often fill with Christmas candy or tiny glass ornaments. This is an excellent condition 8 1/8" jar.
