AR.Drone by Parrot This AR.Drone was purchased at the CES Show in Las Vegas in January 2012 for $300. It has been flown 3 times with no crashes or damage. It is in a like new condition. I am moving so some of the toys have to go. The AR.Drone Quad Helicopter is the easiest helicopter that I have ever tried to fly. I used an iPad with the AR.FreeFlight software. Other more advanced software is available for taking pictures and setting flight options. The connection between iPad or smartphone is by way of a Wi-Fi connection with up to 50 meters range. I liked the automatic takeoff and landing features which made it very simple to start flying. It has TWO cameras, a forward facing and a look down for precise landing.
