A bag of 50+ what I initially thought were just flint flakes but subsequently found that it contained some very neat tools, points etc. T is a beautiful example of a triangular scraper which I call the Swiss Army Knife of scrapers since it can be used as a scraper, knife, graver, etc. depending on the orientation you hold it. T is also two really nice strike-a lights. These are characterized by a pointed knife blade for shaving kindling and a well-battered butt end for sparking the kindling off. Again, a very elegant, efficient tool. I am also holding a nice little Lamoka birdpoint I found in the bag. T is a tag associated with it that identifies the finder as Jane in the month of June , 1947. Wives were well-trained in those days in the intricacies of fieldwalking . Theartifacts are labeled P.D. which I believe is Port Dickinson, near Binghamton. From the Graham collection. One day auction.
