Fabulous ART DECO ERA MASSIVELY LARGE SEASCAPE PAINTING for sale from a local estate!! The painting measures as whopping 42 inches H and 31 1/2 inches L, while the canvas alone measures 40 X 30. It is framed in the wood frame painted gold and it fits the painting perfectly, so I am guessing it is the original!! The scene depicts a tall masted Clipper ship on the high seas!! The way the waves are painted are so real!! The sky has an ominous orange color of a storm approaching!! The tones and style are typical of the Art Deco period!! This painting is not signed, not that I can find, but it has the original price~~get this $38!! Wow that was quite expensive during this time!! What an interesting antique seascape painting for your home or collection!! Maybe you can determine the artist by the style?? It comes to you in AS FOUND condition. Tear in the canvas (pictured).
