I have seen some great Vantine objects, but this one takes the cake. It is a satin art glass embossed perfume bottle with a figural composition stand. I used the buzz words 'incense burner' in my title, but since Vantines was one of the most prolific makers of Art Deco burners, I don't think it's out of the question to imagine that this display stand could have doubled as a burner. First the stand. As stated before it seems to be composition & features 4 alligators or crocodiles encircling the base. It is 3 -5/8" across it's widest point & about 1 -9/16" high. It is enscribed "Vantine's" in script. The dragons or gators have slight paint loss in a few places, but I see no missing 'chunks' from the composition. Next the bottle. It stands about 3 -3/4" high & the base diameter is 2 -1/2". It retains 2 sections of paper label, the uppermost one probably read "Vantine's" but all that's left is half a "V" and then after that a "E'S". The lower label says "HANA VIOLET", probably the fragrance. Between these 2 paper labels, w the neck bulges out, "Vantine's" is embossed in script. The bottle is further embossed with what look like calla lily leaves & some other kind of blossom, but I am by no means a botanist.
