For auction is a hand painted porcelain portrait plate depicting the profile of a lady with loose magenta and cream robes around her shoulders. The plate has a wide border featuring an iridescent green beneath heavy gold painted flower and leaf designs. There are raised gold dots, Deco shapes and star like designs at the inner border as shown. This onwderful plate is signed illegibly at lower right with a first initial, and last name possibly reading "Cruk". There does not appear to be a maker's mark at the reverse, although there is an old paper label, and the portrait is titled "Printemps" in gold.Measurements: approx 9 3/4" diameter.Condition: When viewed at an angle, you can see that the protective surface has peeled away from the central image at multple areas (shown in the final photos). There are a few surface scuffs, and very minor wear that should be expected with age. There is glue residue on reverse. This plate is without chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines, repairs, or other issues.
