Asaphus kowalewskiiOrdovicianSt Petersburg Oblast, RussiaThis listing is for an excellent, prone Asaphus kowalewskii with iconic eyestalks from the St Petersburg region of Russia. Probably the most famous trilobite from the formation, this specimen is high-quality and well-centered an a small matrix. The classic eyestalks display beautifully and are well-preserved, though one has very slight restoration damage visible in the pictures. Nonetheless, the exoskeleton is a great caramel color, and the piece is a perfect addition to a strong collection! The trilobite measures 2.25" on a 3" matrix.
