Up for auction is a "Millie" porcelain doll designed by Roger Akers, with costume design by Stephanie Girardi. This doll was issued in 1991 and was the first doll in the Stepping Out collection. Millie was made by the W. S. George company via the Ashton Drake company. Millie is made of bisque porcelain and hand painted. Her costume is of the type worn by a Charleston dancer in the 1920s. On her back is the following: Roger Akers 0066BMillie comes with her original box. The only accompanying paperwork she has are instructions on how to unpack and display the doll. She does not have a certificate of authenticity. Millie is in excellent condition.
