Overview: Up for bid is an Altas O 2001551-1 CB&Q 50ft single sheath box car, weatd 2R. This car has a build date of '27 and has been weatd for the mid 40's to 50's. Also included is a laser etched wood interior with floor as well as a wooden roof walk. This is one of the new kits I have been working on for the Trainman Single Sheath car. In addition, t is a 3 piece banded box load with 2 laser etched bulk heads. The loads are removeable and the bulk heads have fantastic detail. The car also comes with the new Kadee like couplers from Atlas. Other models not part of auction. Serial Number: 1173 Each car comes with an engraved plate listing serial number. The completed car album of over 1000 cars to date is now being uploaded to . the album Weathering Information: This is a new car that has been removed from its packaging, weatd, KD 805 couplers installed, Atlas trucks installed, and repacked. It was created with a combination of artists colors, Floquil paints, weathering powders, dry brushing, and air brushing. The rust was created with a combination of artists colors layered to achieve a realistic pitted and "running" effect. The trucks and wheels are also weatd with 3 separate colors to achieve maximum realism. Other than a couple of brass pieces, I only run scale cars from these manufacturers on my 2R layout. I feel these cars are the most realistic and I am most comfortable working on them. 4.
