Overview: Up for bid is an Atlas O 9751-4 B&O 1923 ARA Box Car, weathered 2R. This car has a build date of '23, rebuild date of 54' and has been weathered for the mid 60's. Here is another "empty car" prototype.... this time, of a steam era car. This version has 4 steam era interior (wood) side panels plus an old bulk head that has been nailed to the walls of one side of the car. I have also included several scale pallets plus some scrap cardboard. The car also comes equipped with Kadee 805 couplers and cut levers. Other models not part of auction. Serial Number: 1224 Each car comes with an engraved plate listing serial number. The completed car album of over 1000 cars to date is now being uploaded to . the album Weathering Information: This is a new car that has been removed from its packaging, weathered, KD 805 couplers installed, Atlas trucks installed, and repacked. It was created with a combination of artists colors, Floquil paints, weathering powders, dry brushing, and air brushing. The rust was created with a combination of artists colors layered to achieve a realistic pitted and "running" effect. The trucks and wheels are also weathered with 3 separate colors to achieve maximum realism.
