You are bidding on a set of nine (9) Atlas HO Scale Chemical Tank Cars. Shorty, beer cans. All have different road numbers and all are heavily weighted to 3.3 oz. each. Nice runners. All of the cars have Kadee couplers. Two of the cars are fitted with metal wheel sets.We have: GATX 24929, 24916, 24990, 24912, 24958, 24951, 24931, 24914 and GATX 24925. These are well-made Atlas cars.But I have something to say about these cars. First, the quality is amazingly good and the print detail is crisp and originally they cost about twice what an average tank car would cost. But I think Atlas made a mistake molding the stirrups with realistic, but very thin plastic. If you just look at the steps they bend. If you look at them twice, they break.And since these are from a real operating HO railroad where there are occasional mishaps, rather than someone's collector shelf, we have some stirrup conditions. From what I see, 3 of the cars are perfect. The others have a step or two missing or maybe the bottom rungs of the ladders. Not really that noticeable but I want you to know. If it were me, I'd just break off all the steps and fashion some new ones with some fine wire, a tiny drill, and a pair of needle-nosed pliers and have them right forever.
