DIOPTASE (nice, sharp, lustrous, translucent, deep emerald green color trigonal crystals) on minor matrix. When I first received this material, I immediately saw the potential to produce some impressive DIOPTASE specimens. DIOPTASE is known from a few world localities in superb quality specimens, but recently t was a find of new material in the Pool Region of the Congo. These specimens show great color, with larger sized crystals, superb luster and excellent gemminess. This particular specimen features a few sharp, lustrous, translucent, deep emerald green color trigonal crystals of DIOPTASE on mminor matrix. This find seemed to be somewhat limited, and hopefully will produce more of this SUPERB quality DIOPTASE . Keep in mind how much the top DIOPTASE specimens from Tsumeb sell for these days, so do not miss this opportunity to obtain a "Tsumeb"-type quality specimen of DIOPTASE from this new find. Enjoy !
