An Authentic Native American Indian miniature Hematite celt. The miniature celt is made from a wonderful dark redish hematite and measures around 1 7/8 inches long, 1 1/8 inch wide and about 1/4 inch thick, good semetry. The miniature celt has a rounded square poll, nicely finished ! and the bit is in very good condition, the artifact has wonderful polish and use wear ( ancient made scratchs and scrapes) with overall patination, good original condition with no modern disk plow scares and no modern damage! The artifact has a complete history and is direct from the finder's personal collection, Archeologist date this ancient artifact in the Woodland period, 1000 BC - AD 800, the artifact is from Jefferson County Iowa.
