AN AUTHENTIC PRESIDENT REAGAN ERA WHITE HOUSE TELEPHONE Western Electric ( Model 2500DM?) Telephone . With White House Centrex card insert listing various departments and information. States: "This is a non-secure telephone" in red, lower left, with a drawing of the White House at bottom. Headset is marked "Bell System Property/ Not For Sale/ Western Electric" and might be a slightly different color (or for some reason yellowed quicker than the body?) but either way appears contemporary to the body. The body is marked "Bell System/ Made By/ Western Electric". Bottom has sticker that reads, "2500DM/ R82-9" that has been applied over something printed on the base.Works perfectly and is in very good overall condition with no chips or cracks, but does have some rusting around the feet and some light spotting on Centrex card (and could use a cleaning if you wish).Obtained along with other such phones (some with dated bases) from a Washington DC area estate. Unless I decided to sell the one I'm using, this is the last phone I will offer.Rare chance to own an authentic White House telephone used during the Reagan era.
