Presented for your review is a BRAND NEW, MUSEUM QUALITY, AUTOGRAPHED and DATED , 1/72 scale replica of the "Enola Gay" B-29 aircraft used to drop an atomic bomb on Hiroshima thus ending WW II. In the early hours on August 6,1945 the "Enola Gay" piloted by Col. Paul Tibbetts and crew took off from Tinian Island and headed for a classified destination in Japan. At 8:15 A.M. on the same day the "Little Boy" atomic bomb was released over Hiroshima thus ending WW II. A truely historical event that forever changed the course of history. Presented is a museum quality display model of the aircraft used in that historical event. The model is reproduced in authentic colors and markings, has detailed control surface and body panel lines, rotating propellers and numerous body details. The model is autographed and dated on the wing by the history making pilot, Col. Paul Tibbetts. This is a large 1/72 scale model and measures 17" long and has read more
