You are bidding on a complete set of 23 books in The Original Peter Rabbit Books series, all of which were written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter. All of the books are glossy pictorial hardcovers without dust jackets, and they measure approximately 11 cm by 14.5 cm. They were all published in the UK in 1986 by Frederick Warne. The condition of the books ranges from VG- (very good minus) to NF (near fine or near mint), with my rating scale progressing as follows: G . . G+ . . VG- . . VG . . VG+ . . NF- . . NFA book that is in G condition will have more wear than average, but it will not have any major flaws that would make it unreadable or terribly unsightly. The cover may be a little soiled and/or tanned from age and will have moderate or more edge wear. The corners may have been bumped. The spine may be a little faded, slanted and/or a little cocked. Clear tape may have been applied at the top or bottom of the spine to repair a small tear. There may be a name, inscription, price or bookstore stamp inside somewhere. The pages will be tight, but they may be less crisp than when new, may show some age tanning, and may have small smudges, stains and corner folds. Two or three pages may have a small edge tear. The odd book has a cover that is lightly curved.A book that is in NF condition will be almost like new. The cover may have slight edge wear and the pages and/or cover may show a little age tanning. This way my US buyers save a lot of money on postage and don't have to worry about paying duty or customs inspection fees.
