This is a beautiful smaller wooden Lakota Sioux Spirit Horse.Hand painted only on one side signed on the back. From one hoof to the other hoof is about 7 inches long. From the top of the ear to the bottom of the horse's belly is about 3 1/4 inches wide.The blanket is Blue felt.The blanket is also painted. Great colors!!!Made and signed by the noted Lakota artist Sam Two Bulls. When a horse died or was killed in battle they carved a wooden effigy of their fallen horse. They used their horse's hair on the mane and tail of the effigy.It was their way to honor their horse.These horses are great collectors items and are in great demand.
