For auction with no reserve an excellent example of a 6 ft 6 inches Model B grand piano by world famous maker C Bechstein . The Sheraton style cabinet is raised on a set of three dual tapering legs and is finished in a high polish rosewood which is in very good conditon with one or two light scratches . Structually the piano is excellent with no cacks at all to the soundboard , wrestplank , bridges or frame . The instrument is an 88 note roller action , the best type . The keyboard is immaculate and all the notes play well with a powerful , mellow tone and a clear , bright bell like treble . The action is medium weight and responsive . The condition of the hammer felts is very good , with hardly any wear . The piano appears to have been restrung , perhaps in the 1970s , according to my tuner , who has just tuned the instrument to concert pitch . Delivery is available for £95 in the s.e of England .
