This is a "BECKER" (marked on edge) mid-1970's reproduction of the famous (1737) Higley Copper, broad axe type. I believe this was part of a promotional "collectible" group of Colonial coins used as a Time-Life Publications promotion around the 1976 Bicentennial. 28mm diameter, 8.9 grams. Realistic looking item, made to look old and worn (place this on the ground in a coin collector's vegetable garden and get ready for some pandemonium). This is piece (HIGLEY #6) from my long-time collection of iconic Samuel Higley deer images on numismatic (coin, medal, and token) related items. I will be offering about 18 different items (in no particular order) - postage reduced for multiple purchases.
