For sale is an very RARE! DATED 1866 antique maple WOOD BUTTER PRESS STAMP or MOLD with classical acorn and oak branch design. There is an imprinted patent date on the shoulder of the cover piece "April 17 1866". It is rare to find a dated butter mold, so sometimes you don't know whether you are getting an old piece or new craft reproduction. In this case, you don't need to worry about that.: ) both the shell and the press are beautifully turned pieces. The wood grain on the shell is rich and smooth, shines with amazing antique patina! See photos and zoom in.The shell measures 3.5" in diameter and the overall height is about 5". It is in nice antique condition. No losses. There are one tight and stable crack on the handle.
