Rare OLD! Bevier Mo Camp 3947 Modern Woodmen Ribbon/Badge offered is a neat vintage I believe from the 1800's Modern Woodmen of America ribbon / badge that must have been worn at the local events of the Woodmen. This badge has on the front 2 American flags crossed with a large medal and celluloid attachment (2.5" x 2") of bronze with spread winged eagle at top. Below is Bevier Camp No. 3947 M.W.A. Bevier , Mo. Large pin at top with celluloid insert of 2 men with fist touching and the large wooden mallet or sledge and axe , symbols of the Modern Woodmen of America. On the reverse of the ribbon , which is jet black is stamped and printed in bright silver Memoriam . Perhaps these ribbons served two purposes , being one for camp meetings and the other for wearing at funeral services of fellow Woodmen. Overall size is appx 2.5" x 9" including the tassles at the bottom. The silk part of the ribbon that holds the bronze piece and the flags has a seperation from age nearly to the middle .
