Black Pipestone Bear Effigy Peace Pipe This is another great piece from my personal collection which I have been downsizing. Please take a moment to check my other listings. This is an amazing piece. This pipe is Black Pipestone hand carved into a beautiful T style peace pipe with a bear effigy carved on it. The bowl has the medicine wheel design carved into the top of it. This piece is a highly detailed, hand carved by Tali a Native American Master Carver, signed one-of-a-kind. The Bear has long been a symbol of Strength, protection, quietness and swiftness to the Native Americans. The Native Americans did not smoke pipes for the sake of smoking as people do today. They believed smoking to be very spiritual and combined it with prayer and communion with the Great Spirit. That to me is what makes effigy pipes so interesting. There is always a reason for the particular effigy, Not simply decoration. These pipes were always treated with great care and respect. This pipe measures 5 1/2 inches long and 2 1/4 inches tall. Please check the pictures, they are worth a thousand words... > The Pictures Are Of The Actual Pipe You Are Purchasing... The Pictures Are Of The Actual Pipe You Are Purchasing...
