This is a fabulous spoon that we have stored away for years. And.......now we are ready to part with it. This spoon is signed STERLING with an S in a circle and measures about 5 9/16". It has wonderful enameling on the handle with a boy eating watermelon and a slave woman carrying a basket of cotton on her head. In the bowl of the spoon is an engraved L. W. 1903. To top it off, this beauty has a gold wash over the entire spoon, front and back. T is intentionally no gold on the boy's face, hands, watermelon's edge, slave woman and cotton basket. This is on purpose, I believe. T is a little bit of wear to the gold on the raised decor near the woman but very minor. That is all I can see myself. It is really in beautiful condition! Many thanks for looking and check out our other items. Insurance is optional but recommended as I am not responsible once an item is mailed.
