Payment | Shipping | SHOP INFORMATION Rare Black Western Electric Oscillating Fan with Six Brass Blades & Cage - NR Up for auction is this rare signed Western Electric black oscillating electric fan with six brass blades and a brass cage. Built by Westinghouse, sold by Western Electric. Measures 17 inches tall by 14 inches wide and 10 inches deep. Double signed; with both the Western Electric button emblem on the front of the fan's cage, and with brass tag on the fan motor, which reads: "Western Electric Alternating Current Motor - 100/120 Volts - 40 Cycles - Style W1-65232-A - Serial No. 713143 - Manufactured by the owner of patents foe Western Electric Company - Patented Oct 09, 06 - Sept 06, 10 - Dec 6, 10 - and (802 - 11-10-11) It has the brass oscilliating mechanism on the back of the motor as well, which reads "Renew with Westinghouse Grease Each Season".This antique fan has been fully restored and is in excellent running condition. There is a little motor noise on high speeeds but that is it. It has a 4 position slide switch in the base showing 3 speeds. All speeds work well. The brass blades are in excellent condition with no bends and slight loss. The oscillator works fine. The black cage has no breaks or loss. The body of the fan has only slight paint loss here and there. New felt on the base as well. These fans were read more
