BLUE STANGL COLONIAL #1388 TEAPOT This is a nice blue teapot by Stangl. The pattern is Colonial (#1388) and was made in approximately 1931. The 1388 pattern can be identifed by the alternating thin and thick ribs on each piece. In solid colors this pattern was named "Colonial". It's most common colors are Colonial Blue, Persian Yellow, Silver Green and Tangerine. This teapot is approximately 6-1/2" tall and 9" from spout to handle. It is marked on the bottom "1388 Stangl U.S.A." Overall, it is in good condition with a nice shiny glaze, although does need a good washing. T are a couple of exceptions as listed below: A very faint hairline on the top (part that goes down into teapot and doesn't show) (I almost didn't see this as it's so faint) Two chips on the teapot w the top rests on (they don't show with top on).
