This figurine was conceived during a conversation between President Nixon, Mrs. Nixon, and Mrs. Edward Marshall Boehm in 1969. They wanted to create a symbol of peace for the world, and selected Mute Swans. Hallmarked on bottom 400-14. Boehm porcelain sculptures are recognized and appreciated worldwide.
