Description: Limited Edition Boehm Porcelain 'Mute Swan' Birds of Peace Figurine. Depicting a male Mute Swan. This figurine was conceived during a conversation between President Nixon, Mrs. Nixon, and Mrs. Edward Marshall Boehm in 1969. They wanted to create a symbol of peace for the world, and selected Mute Swans. Hallmarked on bottom 400-14. Boehm porcelain sculptures are recognized and appreciated worldwide. They are owned by U.S. Presidents, royalty, foreign heads of state, and museum collections worldwide. Boehm porcelain sculptures are featured in 137 museums worldwide, including the White House, the Vatican, the Smithsonian, and Buckingham Palace. Made from the original molds, assembled and painted by the original artists. Made in U.S.A. Approx.
