SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE PHOTOS A 100% original Boer War and / or WW1 Leather Bandoleer that has been converted to a waist belt in reasonably god condition. This came together with a Boer War / WW1 Officers Leather Holster and the Boer War / WW1 Officers Leather Maps & Dispatches Carrier which we also have listed in separate auctions. This was originally a Mk.II 1897 Mounted Infantry Bandoleer. The Bandoleer has been shortened to make a waist belt and the flaps to cover the cartridges have been removed to make for a fast grab as there was no longer a flap to get in the way. Would fit up to about a 281/2" waist. It is alledged that during the Boer War, and is certainly true of WW1, that British Officers used to dress as Other Ranks and carry a rifle because Officers were the first and foremost targets for enemy snipers. Split in one loop, dusty condition, but does have that beenn there in the front line look to it, and overall reasonbly good condition. SHIPPING COSTS (INCLUDES POSTAL INSURANCE ) UK £ 4.50 RECORDED DELIVERY EUROPE £ 5.50 SMALL AIR PACKET **** For Italy please see below *** Italian Bidders Please Note: We will need to add an additional £4.95 for a “Signed For” Delivery on items being delivered to Italy.
