HI-COUNTRY BRASS SANTA FE HEAVYWEIGHT BAGGAGE-BUFFET-LIBRARY-LOUNGE CAR, PRO PAINTED In 1927 the Santa Fe received twelve heavyweight Baggage-Buffet-Library-Lounge cars for operation on its famous named trains. These cars were numbered #1300-1311 and most carried the name of a famous indian chief. This Hi-Country Brass import is a nicely detailed replica of these cars. This particular model has been professionally painted and lettered for the car #1301, "Chief Yellow Bear" which was used on the original Super Chief in 1936. The original owner wanted this car painted specifically for his 1936 Super Chief train. This car and its brethren were used on a number of Santa Fe trains including the Super Chief, the Chief, the California Limited and the Grand Canyon. They continued to be used into the 1950s and 1960s. The model comes in its original box with very good foam. This is an exceptionally fine model and will please the winning bidder. Please note that we have a number of other nice Santa Fe items on sale this week on eBay. These items include "PA" and "PB" diesels and a number of other passenger cars.
