All Brass HO Scale Union Pacific Railroad (UP) U50C Diesel Locomotive from Overland Models, Inc. A very hard to find HO scale all brass model of Union Pacific Railroad's (UP) U50C diesel locomotive from Overland Models, Inc. (OMI). Prototype engines of this class were built by General Electric Division (EMD) from 1969 to 1971 exclusively for UP. The U50C used the three axle trucks from the recently retired 8500HP turbines which GE built for UP in the early 60's. This particular model representing locomotive #5013 that comes with the large lift rung covers on short nose and a nose door. A rare limited edition piece manufactured by the master craftsmen of Ajin Precision in Korea and imported by OMI as catalog #5095 in 1988. Exquisitely detailed with all brass construction and beautifully custom painted in the famous UP yellow and grey paint scheme with full lettering. It also comes with cab window glazing, cab interior, sprung trucks as well as constant intensity directional lighting. Powered by a top quality Japanese made can motor, it has been fully lubed and tuned to run very smooth and quiet, a must have diesel locomotive for the serious UP collector and modeler. In mint condition with no wheel wear and co mes with the original box and foam, which are still in excellent condition. Standard shipping is to a domestic US address
