This is a fabulous sterling silver Necklace and Bracelet set, hand wrought in Taxco pre-eagle, dating it around 1935. The bracelet and necklace incorporates large openwork drops with incised decorations forming a shadowbox affect, alternating with smaller drops with silver spheres. This beautiful design was originated by Ana de Brilanti who designed under the name of Victoria. This beautiful set was made by the designer, E. Berena , listed on page 242 in Bille Hougart's book, The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks (2006 edition). Please look closely at all the photos to capture the beauty of this wonderful set. Measurements: Necklace: 16.1/2 inches but due to the curvature was a little difficult to measure exactly. The barrels are 3/4 (length) x 1/2 (width) inch. Three ball links are 3/4 inch long Bracelet: 7.1/4 inches. Barrels are 3/4 x 1/2 inch. Weight: Necklace, 61 grams Bracelet: 36 grams Clasp: Tongue and Box closure Condition: No dings or dents to the silverwork. Perfect!
