This is an ORIGINAL British WWII Mention in Despatches (MID) Group awarded to Flight Sergeant JAMES WILLIAM HODDS, #351165, RAF, and comes complete with his original MID Certificate (see photo) plus original Certificate of Service and Discharge, which contains all of his career information. J.W. Hodds was born on 15 June 1902 in St. Andrews, Hull, Yorkshire, and was a Barman by trade. His job in the RAF was listed as "Equipment Assistant." He was MID for servicesin North Africa. The medals include the 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Defense Medal, and War Medal w/MID, all un-named as issued. This is a nice grouping for British medal collectors.
