I am going to be listing a large amount of Boy Scout items from my brother who started in Cub Scouts in the early 60's and continued through until Eagle Scout and more. He was very active in many events including Jamboree's. He is downsizing his home to move into a small apartment, turn his treasures into your treasures. Please ask any questions or feel free to correct any information I list. FIRST DAY ISSUES CACHETS This auction is for a lot of 3 "FDI" FIRST DAY ISSUE CACHET'S AND ONE INSERT. These are in excellent condition considering they are over 50 years. 1) The first one I am describing is a 3" x 5" card which was inside one of the envelopes. It looks yellowed or maybe that was the color it started with. I'm not sure. The card is rubber stamped with the following: "EARLE TODD FIRST DAY COVER SERVICE WILSHIRE BOX 1834 LOS ANGELES ?? CALIF." 2) BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA - FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY JAMBOREE - VALLEY FORGE - PENNSYLVANIA 1910 - 1950 THE ARISTOCRATS. This is stamped "FIRST DAY OF ISSUE" JUN 30 9-AM 1950 VALLEY FORGE PA. This has two .03 CENT, BOY SCOUT STAMPS. 3) FIRST DAY OF ISSUE - Honoring BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA - NATIONAL JAMBOREE VALLEY FORGE, PA. JUNE 1950 .
