Dudjom Tersar Lineage Refuge TreeThe Refuge Tree is the depiction of the unbroken lineage line of the Nyingma branch of Vajrayana Tibetan Buddhism which represents the entirety of the teachings and philosophy.A masterpiece and Kumar Lama's finest thangka painting, this piece was commissioned by Lama Tharchin and took 2 years to complete (completed in 1999). This 4" by 6" luster reproduction mounted on 5" x 7" Strathmore paper card with decorative embossed border will be shipped along with an envelope.Limited edition.Larger custom reproduction can be made available on eBay upon inquiry.Description of the PaintingThis Refuge Tree arises from the waters of Lake Danakosha, the sacred lake where Padmasambhava, the 'Precious Guru who subjugates the Three Worlds', was miraculously born upon a lotus. Padmasambhava appears at the top of the tree seated upon a lotus and lion-throne, and wearing his characteristic lotus-hat and the three robes that represent his mastery of the three Buddhist yanas or 'vehicles'. His radiant aura is encircled with lotus flowers and a rainbow, and behind his lion-throne are stacks of silk-covered dharma texts.Directly above Padmasambhava are ten cloud-borne lineage gurus, which descend in sequence from Samantabhadra at the top to the late Dudjom Rinpoche at the lower read more
