c1890 PHOENIX? Peach Opalescent VASE Diamond Optic w/Floral ENAMEL Description : Offered for your consideration is this really sweet Victorian art glass vase. The shaded peach opalescent glass has a diamond optic pattern. It is decorated with pretty blue floral enamel. I've seen this design in pitchers and tumblers but never a vase. I'm not sure of the maker--perhaps Phoenix or one of the fine English glass houses (any help appreciated). The vase is 6" high to the crimped and ruffled edge, 3 1/4" across at the top and 2 3/4" at the base. The pontil is ground and polished. The vase is in very good estate condition with no damage or repairs found. There is a spot of discoloration (rust?) inside on the bottom--not distracting but see photo to evaluate. The glass is very clear with no haze or cloudiness. This lovely vase is sure to be welcome in any collection!
