I am offering this c1950's vintage Steiff fully-jointed teddy bear that is 13 inches long. He is made of golden yellow mohair with felt pads on all four paws. There is black stitching for the nose, mouth and claws. His plastic eyes are deep brown with black centers. I suspect the stuffing is either excelsior or straw judging by the feel when I squeeze him. It also doesn't feel like he had a squeaker. He has the classic antique bear shape with elongated arm, a nice long snout and a hump on the back. He no longer has a button in the ear but I am 99.9% certain that this is a German Steiff teddy bear. I've owned him for about 15 years and always kept him in a case out of direct sunlight in a non-smoking home. His overall condition is very good and there is very little loss of mohair with no visible thin spots. My opening bid for this bear is very reasonable so now might be a good time to add him to your collection.
