Wymiana Samolotow z Okresu Wojny RAF 1977 cover signed by Flt Lt Jan Malinski KW, Polish Battle of Britain Hurricane pilot with No 302 (Polish) Squadron Cover produced in 1977 depcicting Spitfire and DH9A. Cover was produced for the official handing over of Spitfire to the Museum in Krakow. Cover bears 2 polish stamps cancelled in Krakow. Cover was carried by Her Majesty's Ambassador to Poland on October 7th for the official handing over ceremony. Cover has been signed by Flight Lieutenant Jan Malinski KW Malinski was born 1 March 1917 and was in the Polish Air Force before the war. In the September 1939 he destroyed at least two aircraft while flying with 132 squadron PAF. Malinski arrived in Britain on June 27 1940 and converted to Hurricanes and joined 302 Squadron on August 20th. He was attached to 5 OTU on September 2 and returned to 302 on 26th September. He destroyed a JU88 on March 3 1941 and in June posted to the 307 squadron Operations room. In 1942 he was posted to the Ops room at RAF Exeter and then returned to 307 Ops rooms on December 1 1943. Malinski returned to flying duties with 307 squadron on September 16 1944 and was awarded the KW on 27 September 1945. . We usually have lots of other items up for sale so why not have a look
