For bid is a circa 1920's photograph of the Scottish tall ship "Falls of Bruar" which floundered (sank) in 1887. The photo was produced b a San Francisco, California photographic company "WATTERS COMPANY." Photo on thick, textured photographic paper from the 1920's or early 1930's. Falls of Bruar was built by Russel & Company at Port Glasgow, Scotland. Photo measures 9 x 6.5 inches approximately. Still has black photo corners attached to each corner. This may have been printed from a glass negative, or an enlargement of an older print. It's somewhat clear photograph of the ship with the profiles of some of the sailors visible. 24 sailors were killed when a gale contributed to the loss of the ship when it was bound for Calcutta, India.
