Description of Item This attractive 18th Century Blue and white cover box is decorated with floral motif. (The bulk of the ca mau cargo were auctioned by Sothebys in Netherlands in Jan 07 with much success.)It was recovered from the Ca Mau shipwreck. Ca Mau province is located at the southern tip of Vietnam. The Ca Mau shipwreck was first discovered by fishermen in 1998. The artifacts discovered include pieces with Yongzheng mark. Hence, the date which it sank is most likely between 1723 and 1735 (Qing Yongzheng reign). If it is early part of Yongzheng, part of the ceramic cargo could be made during Kangxi Period.For any inquiry, please contact me at . Size : 6.5 cm (Dia).
