A mint condition 1945 âe~fineâe(tm) weave canvas formation patch to the 1st Armoured Brigade. Under General Order 71 of March 25th 1941, backdated to February 11th 1941, Headquarters 1st Canadian Army Tank Brigade was authorized. Under General Order 73 of March 25th 1941, backdated effective February 11th 1941 The Three Rivers Regiment (Tank), the Ontario Regiment (Tank) and Calgary Regiment (Tank) were designated as Army Tank Battalions assigned to the 1st Canadian Army Tank Brigade under the designations of the 11th Army Tank Battalion (The Ontario Regiment (Tank), the 12th Canadian Army Tank Battalion (Three Rivers Regiment (Tank); and the 14th Canadian Army Tank Battalion (The Calgary Regiment (Tank). The 12th Canadian Army Tank Battalion (Three Rivers Regiment (Tank) embarked for England June 19th 1941 w effective May 22nd 1942 under General Order 302/1942 the 11th, 12th and 14th Army Tank Battalions were designated as Army Tank Regiments. During the last week of June 1943 the 1st Canadian Army Tank Brigade sailed for the Mediterranean with 1st Canadian Infantry Division for the invasion of Sicily landing July 10th 1943.
