Be sure to see all my WW1 & WW2 items this week! is a full sized set to 432136 ACQM SJT H.R.D. KINGDON 49-CAN.INF. as marked on his BWM & Victory medals to him. The 14/15 star says the same other than just SJT as his rank only. As an importent side note his Attestation papers on-line have an error. His service # on these medals and his sign up sheet is correct, but the archives in Ottawa made the error of logging his service # as 432126, which is an error they have made. If you wish to serch him out you will find him by name but under this other service #. He signed up with the 49th in Edmonton Alberta in Jan 1915 and remained with them as a original member for the entire war. The 49th saw much action at THE SOMME 1915, MOUNT SORREL 1916, VIMY RIDGE 1917, ARRAS 1918 and CAMBRAI 1918 to just name a few with the 3rd Division. He was a Sergeant and would have seen all these actions and more. We have not had the time to fully research him, but I think he will prove to be very interesting as you don't often come across infantry groups of 3 and to a Acting Company Quartermaster NCO who survied the war with 1 unit while being part of some of the bigest actions of WW1 and Canadian history.
