Here is a Carlton Ware MATCH STRIKER / HOLDER which dates back a hundred years or so to the early part of the last century. The striker is in the traditional design and carries the raised ceramic crest of the Trinity College, Cambridge. The underneath bears the Carlton Ware W & R circular (swallow) design maker's mark. For its age the item is in excellent condition. The surface is shiny and the crest is quite good. It stands about 6.5 cm high. I have owned this for 20 years during which time it has been kept behind glass on display. It will grace any collection. I will combine postage. Thanks for looking.
