Studio Dante di Volteradici FIRST PLATE IN THE GHIBERTI DOORS SERIES CARVED IVORY-ALABASTER 3D WALL PLAQUE "ADORATION OF THE MAGI" By Alberto Santagela 1983This Fabulous Wall Plaque was made at the Studios of Volteradici in Tuscany, Italy.The Plaque comes from a Series based on the Carved Wooden Doors of the San Giovanni Baptistry in Florence - known as the Ghiberti Doors.This Plaque is the First in the Series and is entitled "The Adoration of The Magi".The Plaque is carved from Ivory Coloured Alabaster and is 8 1/2" in Diameter. It weighs well over 1kg.The Plaque has a Ring on the Back to Facilitate Wall Hanging. The Wall Plaque is in Excellent Condition . T here are No Cracks, Chips or Crazing. There's a Gold Coloured Plate on the Back which (in Italian) gives the Plaque's Limited Edition Number "BA 4197" together with the Plaque's Title, Artist, Studio and Bradford Exchange Registration. The Plaque is Inscribed on the Front with "A Santangela". The Plaque comes with Extensive Original Literature, together with its Certificate of Authenticity and its Original Box. All of my Items are well packed before posting.
